F-Gas Compliance

Fluorinated greenhouse gases (F gases) are powerful greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming by depleting the ozone layer if released into the atmosphere. Their effect can be much greater than carbon dioxide. Hydro fluorocarbons (HFCs), Per fluorocarbons (PFCs) and Sulphur Hexafluoride (SF6) are all types of F gas.

HFC's are the most common type of F gases and are mainly used as the refrigerant in air conditioning and commercial refrigeration systems. F gases are also found in other areas such as fire protection systems, solvents, high voltage switch gear, types of aerosols etc.

WITH EFFECT FROM 4TH JULY 2007 IF YOU USE AIR CONDITIONING OR REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT, YOU HAVE LEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES TO COMPLY.

delta T is an F-Gas certified company who can assist you in complying with the statutory regulations governing these refrigerants.
Anyone working on systems containing F-Gases should hold a valid F-gas certificate; all delta T engineers are fully qualified and competent and can assist in keeping your business compliant
